OARA has kept Auto Recyclers informed and involved with input and information into current industry trends and government legislative initiatives that affect auto recyclers. In addition, as the membership grows, numerous membership benefits are now available to enhance a members opportunities and productivity. Auto Recyclers purchase end-of-life and accidented vehicles, and ensure that all vehicles are retired in an environmentally sound manner. Auto Recyclers are a valuable source of low cost, high quality used auto parts. Since its inception, OARA has been a working partner with other automotive associations and government working groups on waste oil, CFCs, scrap tires and wrecked or salvaged vehicle issues. Affiliations and information sharing with the Automotive Recyclers of Canada (ARC), Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA), Used Car Dealers Association (UCDA), Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF), Collision Industry Action Group (CIAG), Clean Air Foundation (CAF), National Automotive Trades Association (NATA), Recycling Council of Ontario (RCO) and many other government and non-government groups and associations. Members will be kept informed and aware with Member Rosters, Newsletters, News Releases, Website, Directories, Industry Advertising, and public relations support. Our two Member Meetings per year are great opportunities to meet other Auto Recyclers from across the province to share information, ideas, and concerns. We have also partnered with Collision Repair Magazine to produce the annual Canadian Auto Recyclers magazine. OARA manages Canada's largest Charity Car Program - Car Heaven - in conjunction with the Clean Air Foundation and several leading charitable agencies. The program provides an opportunity for everyone to win - Member recyclers get access to donated vehicles, our charity partners receive much-needed funds, and auto recycling and your business have great promotional opportunities.
